Most of what determines how a boot behaves is no longer visible once the boot is finished, but that doesn’t make it any less important.
What you see is of course the leather, the shape and the surface.
Our boots are made with Goodyear welt construction.

In simple terms, that means the upper and the sole are attached in separate steps instead of becoming one fixed piece.
The practical result is that when the sole wears down, it can be removed and replaced without remaking the entire boot.
That takes more work and more time to produce.
None of that changes how the boot feels when it is new.

You will only notice it later.
When the sole eventually wears out, the boot does not have to.
That is why we make them this way.
